Staff

Brett is our senior pastor. He and his family moved to Portland in 1996 to start Athey Creek Christian Fellowship. Brett and his wife Debbie have three children – Brooke, Joe and Casey.

Jeff is an assisting pastor who handles the business dealings of our fellowship. Presently, his focus is working with the various agencies, contractors and lenders to coordinate the pace and flow of the building project. Jeff and his wife, Sherry, have a daughter named Caedy.

Bobby is our newest staff member and serves as an assisting pastor here at the fellowship.  His primary focus is to be available to the congregation of our church for prayer, counseling and hospital visitations. Bobby and his wife Meghan have Emily, Caleb and another little girl on the way.

Micah does a little bit of everything! In addition to being one of our worship leaders, he is a huge help to the staff in meeting the needs of the various ministries at our church. He burns up most of his excess energy on our high school youth group.

Amy is an administrative assistant for the pastoral staff. She helps plan and coordinate various fellowship events. The rest of her time is spent with the high school group and the young women of our church.

David is our college pastor. He also serves as one of our worship leaders at church. Throughout the rest of the week, he helps take care of our IT and media ministry needs. David is married to Becca.

Jen has been a vital part of our Children’s Ministry for several years now. She helps James and Josh keep things up and running as she works on the schedule, facilitates events and makes sure the Children’s Ministry teachers have all they need in order to work with our kiddos.

Kari is an administrative assistant. She helps with the routine workings of the office, which include covering the phones, greeting guests, distributing information and assisting with the many ministry needs as they arise.

Tim is our audio, visual and lighting specialist. He takes care of the ins and outs of the sound and lighting systems during our times of worship and teaching. Tim and his wife Jamie are looking forward to the birth of their first son this month.

Haley is an administrative assistant who helps in a multitude of ways. She is a great support to the staff, helping to make sure all of the details are covered in the day-to-day matters at the church office.

Bryn is heading up our Men’s Ministry. If you see opportunities for the guys of our fellowship to gather for Bible studies, golf tournaments or motocross rides, Bryn is probably the guy behind it all. He and Jessica have two kids – Liam and Madison.

James is our children's pastor. His time is divided between the administrative aspects of our Children’s Ministry and keeping up with the Grade Schoolers – both in the classroom and on the many trips they take throughout the year. James and his wife Angela have three boys – Silas, J.T. and Isaiah.

Judy leads our women’s ministry. She oversees the ladies' Bible studies and meets with the women of Athey for prayer and fellowship.

Kate is an administrative assistant. She works together with Kari and Haley to run the office. This means looking after the routine projects, as well as handling all of the unexpected needs that arise each week. They also provide tremendous organizational support for the various ministries of the church.

Seth is our Jr. High pastor. He teaches their mid-week Bible study and leads all of their fun, crazy events. He also prepares teachings for the website & media ministry. Seth and his wife Natalie have a daughter named Karli.

Josh works with our children’s ministries. He helps James teach the grade school class and assists with administrative details throughout the week.

Shannon is our bookkeeper. She assists Jeff Young with financial administrative duties. Shannon is married to Jon.
